Cookies: What Your Browser Keeps

Cookies, browser storage and downloaded files are different things. Here is how they relate to these pages.

What cookies do

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website can ask a browser to store and return with later requests. localStorage is a separate browser mechanism that can retain data for a site without automatically attaching it to each request. Both can be used for useful preferences or for tracking, depending on implementation.

The site’s own code

The static pages and script supplied for Puff Brain Picnic do not set cookies, read or write localStorage, or include advertising or analytics trackers. The navigation menu and scroll animations operate in page memory and do not need persistent storage.

This statement describes the site’s own page code. Hosting infrastructure or a separately supplied consent interface may have additional behavior. Any such service should disclose its actual storage and purposes in its own interface. A consent control should not be interpreted as evidence that optional tracking is present.

Contact drafts

The contact tool holds text in the current page. It does not intentionally retain draft fields after the page session. Your browser may independently offer autofill or restore form contents. Copying places text on your clipboard, and downloading creates a file; neither action is a website cookie.

Downloaded text files remain until you delete them. Clipboard contents may remain available to device features or other applications. Review shared-device settings before preparing personal correspondence.

External websites

Research and reference links take you to other domains. Those websites may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own notices. The pages here do not embed third-party videos, external fonts or externally hosted image requests.

Your controls

Your browser settings usually allow you to inspect or clear site data and block cookies. Exact steps vary by browser and device. Blocking storage should not prevent reading these static pages. Clipboard permission restrictions may prevent automatic copying, but you can select text manually or download a draft instead.

Questions and changes

If storage or tracking is added, this notice should be updated before that practice is introduced, and consent obtained where required. For questions, email [email protected]. For hosting requests and correspondence, see the Privacy notice.
